Core Knowledge is a philosophy of education developed by E.D.
Hirsch, Jr., focused on academic excellence, greater fairness,

Education Trust
The Education Trust works for the high academic achievement
of all students at all levels, kindergarten through college.
Their basic tenet is this- All children will learn at high
levels when they are taught to high levels. With sufficient
support and a will to act, the achievement gaps that separate
poor and minority students from their more advantaged peers
can be closed. High standards, rigorous curriculum, good teaching
and accountability for results are the key elements to making
K-16 education work for all students.

Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options
The Hispanic Council for Reform and Educational Options (CREO)
was founded in the summer of 2001 when a group of ten Latinos
from differing professional, political, ethnic, and geographic
backgrounds met for the purpose of discussing the large educational
achievement gap of Latino children. After months of deliberations,
the group decided to form the Hispanic Council for Reform
and Educational Options (CREO) in response to the educational
crisis of Latino children.

The Thomas B. Fordham Foundation, based in Washington, D.C.,
