Using
StandardsWork’s Results Card, and other tools, we were
able to identify for schools in Jackson Hole, Wyoming
important insights about instruction and curriculum. We conducted
teacher and community workshops to discuss the findings and
helped them develop a plan for change. Similarly, using our
Results Card, we helped the Allentown School District,
in Pennsylvania identify discrete academic improvement
opportunities and facilitated community and school board meetings
to share the important results and gain agreement about follow
up steps.
On behalf of the Indiana Higher Education Commission,
a long-time client, StandardsWork has engaged in some groundbreaking
work, including:
- Creating “super standards,” representing original
thinking about how individual content standards are connected
and helping to identify big ideas around which teachers
could organize their lessons.
- Evaluating the quality and completeness of the Indiana
Cross-Curricular activities and making recommendations
for how to improve the integration.
- Conducting a review of their standards at the high school
level to identify priority content for instruction and assessment.
